Meet the Team

Myles was born and raised in game-rich Northern British Columbia, where the opportunities to study wildlife are abundant. Beginning at a young age, Myles had developed a keen eye for wildlife. Hunting and observing animals led to drawing and painting them and soon expanded into a keen interest for taxidermy. This enthusiasm and passion would follow him through high school and into his college years, where he would even bring deer capes into his dorm room to prepare for the tannery.

Myles later studied at the Western Canada School of Taxidermy where he learned about the importance of animal anatomy, keeping up with the most modern taxidermy methods, as well as understanding the emphasis on good reference and detail.

Myles has also spent several years as a hunting guide in the Mackenzie Mountains of the Northwest Territories and Northern British Columbia. This was a good place to keep record of habitat, reference and wildlife behaviour.

“Too many mounts are rushed off to the nearest taxidermist, often because the hunter is exited to have their animal presented on the wall as soon as possible. Thus, many mounts are hung on the “wall of shame”. As a company that believes in representing wildlife in the highest quality, our wish for you, is to take as much pride in your mount as the day it was harvested.”

Thea was born in Northern British Columbia into a long line of Guides and Outfitters of the area. She grew up hunting, and riding horses on her families ranch in the Prophet River country. “That’s definitely where my passion for the outdoors and wildlife began. From a young age, we were educated on nature, its beauty and how to respect it. Taxidermy to me is one more way to preserve and respect the animal, appreciating it for years to come. When a mount is artfully done well, thats really a sight to behold.”

Thea’s interest in taxidermy began after her husband Myles was well into his taxidermy career. Having attended Western Canada School of Taxidermy, she started helping by taking over the sewing portion and is now involved in the mounting and finishing process. She looks farward to working with clients and growing her taxidermy knowledge.
